I agree that percentage calculations are easy to get wrong, especially when dealing with discounts or price changes.
One example where I find a calculator particularly useful is when a store has multiple discounts. For instance, a 20% discount followed by another 10% discount doesn’t mean the total discount is simply 30%. The second percentage is applied to the already-reduced price.
